“What’s Happening in San Diego” Labor Day Weekend 2026 Show Released

San Diego, CA (For Release) — “What’s Happening in San Diego,” the new go-to source for local events, releases its Labor Day Weekend 2026 show. Hosted by local personalities David Kamatoy and Jordan Jacobo, the program presents a variety of both free and paid events and activities for residents and visitors to America’s Finest City during the three-day weekend. Fans of sports, music, pop culture, and wine will all find something to enjoy.

More than just a run-down of things to do, “What’s Happening in San Diego” takes a lighthearted look through the eyes of two native sons who have grown up in the entertainment world. A juggler, actor, and producer, David Kamatoy brings decades of stand-up experience to the show as well as a knowledge of both TV and radio broadcasting. No slouch himself, Jordan Jacobo is an actor, director, and producer who has worked on both sides of the border. The two are joined by Director and “Voice of God” Greg Schumsky on the broadcast.

“What’s Happening in San Diego” is presented by Kamatoy Media Group and filmed at Spark Studio Soundstage in San Diego. The Executive Producer is Leo Kats. Check listings for specific days and times of events.

Behind the Scenes — AI Video Renders

This was a fun show and we finally were able to start integrating AI video renders. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while but I didn’t have the right engine. We found it and this is really fun.

More comically are the failed renders of stills where I was arguing with the AI about the images.

It started with a prompt about us partying at the San Diego Natural History Museum. When I asked it to have me juggle, it ended up picking Jordan to juggle. Additionally, for the jugglers in the house, it kept seeing 3 objects as 4 objects or more. I had to give up and that’s why I ended up with a super low 4 object pattern.
